Mortal Kombat 3 USA
Shao Kahn, defeated by Liu Kang during the Mortal Kombat tournament (which should have been the tenth consecutive victory for Shao Kahn's servants, which would have allowed him to invade Earth), in Outworld, sets up a new plan. He asks Shang Tsung, helped by shadow priests, to resurrect his former queen Sindel, who unexpectedly died at a young age. Former Empress of Outworld, she has the ability to travel to Earth, a talent envied by Shao Kahn and which he intends to make good use of. So once Sindel finds her body, Shao Kahn crosses dimensions with her help. As a result of his action, the Earth Kingdom became part of Outworld, and millions of humans were immediately killed. However, a few were able to be spared, as Raiden (protector of the Earth Kingdom) managed to protect their souls. He told his fighters that Shao Kahn needed to be stopped, however as Outworld merged with the Earth Kingdom, Raiden lost his powers and therefore no longer had the ability to stop Shao Kahn's troops. Shao Kahn has unleashed extermination squads throughout the Earth Kingdom in order to annihilate all survivors. Additionally, Raiden's protection is only effective for the soul, not the body. So his warriors will not only have to fight these platoons, but also repel Kahn.
