Darkwing duck, a masked duck, must save his town St Canard from the criminal organization F.O.W.L. To do this, he must stop Steelbeak and 6 of his henchmen who are sowing terror in the city. The game is made up of 7 levels. Darkwing Duck is armed with a gas gun with different ammunition. The game is similar to Mega Man in terms of gameplay with its ability to change weapons via a sub-screen. In addition, there is no password allowing you to return to an advanced point in the game in the event of defeat. This absence was particularly denounced by critics of the time, who found the difficulty a little too high for a young audience.
